A Passion for Life and Homemade Ice Cream

In 2008, Eric Bakke (Pops) adopted his 7 year old daughter (Lomi) from Teppi, Ethiopia.  Soon after, Pops introduced Lomi to something that she had never experienced before, that would changer her life forever...Ice Cream!  Lomi & Pop's Ice Cream is a father-daughter locally owned and operated mobile food truck, offering the most delicious homemade ice cream in Phoenix, AZ.  Our journey began with the simple desire to share our love for flavorful ice cream with our community. We take pride in creating each batch with the finest ingredients and a whole lot of love, ensuring every scoop is a delightful treat for our customers.

Crafting Happiness

Our food truck is our kitchen!  With the help from our Emery Thompson batch freezer, we carefully source the best dairy and fresh fruits to create our signature flavors.  Each morning, our product mix is whipped while freezing to create a silky smooth consistency.  When operating the batch freezer, spinning blades churn and mix the product base. At the same time, air is injected. The combination of air (known as “overrun”) and freezing conditions produces the smooth texture. Every scoop of our homemade ice cream is a result of our dedicated craftsmanship and passion.  Lomi & Pops is committed to churning out happiness in every cone, and we believe that it's the love and care we put into our ice cream that makes it truly special.
